For Pinetown's Cohan Kok – better known as "That Guy" – owning and growing a successful workshop has always been more than just a dream; it has been a lifelong goal driven by passion, dedication, and a commitment to excellence.
In 2022, Cohan started a small workshop from home with little more than determination, experience, and a vision. Just a year later, That Guys Autoworx expanded into the heart of New Germany, where it continues to serve the community with professional, friendly, and honest automotive service.
"I was blessed with the opportunity to start my apprenticeship at Volkswagen, and from the very beginning I knew the motor industry was where I belonged," says Cohan.
Since qualifying as both a Petrol and Diesel Mechanic, as well as a Diagnostic Technician, Cohan has gone on to achieve his International Certified Master Technician certification. He has also earned qualifications in training, facilitation, and moderation, further strengthening his commitment to technical excellence and industry development.
Coming second in the Best of Durban's Best Car Service Centre category has helped the business continue to grow, and together with his small team, they keep striving to deliver the best and honest workshop service in the community.
